Cool the waffles completely before assembling the cake. If they are warm, the cream will melt and the layers may slide apart.
Did you know?
Waffle cake is an easy way to make a cake without regular sponge or baked cake layers. Orange juice in the batter gives fresh flavor and an Easter feel, while cream and orange between the layers make the cake moist. Because the waffles are soft, the cake is best assembled shortly before serving.
